Aside from the urge to use color gradients, I have to admit to being impressed by the faithfulness to the design sensibilities of the Silver Age. Especially in terms of page structure and typeface selection, really spot on.

Beautiful as always. Every time I see this work I remember picking up my first comic (Fantastic Four) when I was 5 years old.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Peej, we really try to re-create the feel and conditions of the early '60s. For one Doctor Monster story arc I batted the story out at the pace of a page and a half per day, just to see what it was like to have to produce that page quota to make a living in the old days. and to see how it would affect the art and storytelling. I'm happy to say that it was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had producing comic book art. It resulted in very loose art with lots of life to it!

That's a helluva statement, Eddie. I always loved the FF, even if I didn't care for the story direction it would take from time to time. Thanks a lot for the kind sentiments.
