Thanks, Harley & Kim. Yes it is different, Kim. Probably closer to things I used to do in advertising. But there was a beautiful new moon out the other night and I've been itching to do a digital sketch, so I guess you could say the muse struck me.
Yes, Ry, I did see the moon and sketched it. Funny thing is, the line:"Did you see the moon last night?" popped into my head while I was working it.
Thanks, Mac Daddy. I do plan on continuing with this. I'm always itching to paint sunsets and night skies, and now I finally can without pulling out the art supplies or choking from marker fumes.
Thank you, Dorota. It was a peaceful night, but not too chilly. This was inspired by our conversations on painting sunsets and more natural settings.
Looking at this image I feel as if I'm rolling along a tributary at dusk. The waves rubbing shoulders against the side of the gondola seem to sing softly with each gentle fold. "Vince!" They cry, "Vince!"
You're so good, Eric... VERY creative. I miss you very much at work, it's a VERY boring place without you. I hope you're having fun with little Calvin. Saw the photos, he's adorable.
Very nice Vince, I really like it. I dont know why, but when i see a moon like that, i get all hopeful and dreamy. Its fun when you see someone's art and it transports you someplace.. nice.
Thanks, Chantel & Eric. I've been having a little fun digitally. I'm really enjoying my new wacom tablet and the simplicity it affords. I Hope to dig in deeper as I learn more.
