The amazing thing to me is this; you’re ‘Silly Sketch’ which by titling it such sounds like a throwaway piece, has all these wonderful touches in it. The texture in the wall (and the bricks), the way you silhouetted the blinds and figure in the window, the really nice line work throughout. It‘s the kind of stuff the makes me incredibly envious!

ROCKET RIDE

I'm not here to be polite...

but, this piece is perfectly in tune with the darker side of the psychedelic free loving times of the '60s and '70s. Vince your loving ink and pencil strokes are honest in the sense of not having a hidden agenda. You have captured small, good things, like the essential rightness of a ride on a Five and Dime amusement rocket. This nothing less than a thing of beauty.

Peej- I didn't mean to label it as a throway piece, it's just an odd one that started out with character head shots that I strung together into a composition. It's "wonky", but it was fun to finish off.

Ry- Thanks for the kind words.

David- There are times when I'd really like to put my foot up your ass, but I like my shoes too much. Thanks for managing a little civility in the home stretch.

Wow Vince! That rocket ride is beautiful. I don't know words to say it better. One of my favorite drawings, I'm not kidding. Top job man.

I have a voice in my head telling me that I must translate your rocket ride in 3d. Would you mind that?

Thanks, Max. It means a lot to me. Have at it, mate! I'd love to see a 3D version of my little dull-witted genius.

Thanks for the kind and generous words.

Excellent, that shall be my fun time when I get back from holidays in September.
I think it's screaming to be 3dfied.

Hi Vince,
I've done the head and I'm now working on the body and rocket, you can see it at my blog.
