Baby, it's cold outside...

I thought it might be a good time to post some unused Disney concept art from a Surf-Themed Design Program that I worked on.

Maybe it will warm us up a bit out here in Cali.

These are really strong Vince. The second from last is my favourite. I love graphic work like this. I have a theory that if anybody from the studio in the 40's were starting out in Animation today they would NEVER draw the Disney style. They would search for something else.

But then again I am drunk and haven't left enough time to explain myself- goodbye!

Nice silhouette series Vince! When did you do these?

I couldn't agree with you more, Matt. I look at contemporay animation, with so many new and old styles in play and it blows my mind.

With a wealth of learning materials from the internet, and books like "Cartoon Modern" being published, who knows where it will lead us?

I hope you get to animate & film your own stories. You have a fresh and distinct voice. I enjoy the way you approach and expose a wide range of subjects.

I saw "Children of Men" the other day, and I was very proud of myself for having recognized the Battersea Power Station as one of its locations.

Hey Ry!

These sketches were done in '04, for a
"blue sky" exploration.
I miss "blue sky".

No Bally-Hoo,
just ideas and concepts.
