This one's interesting as it seems to be a new style for you...Looks like you're using a photoshop BG image rather than your usual ink/color fills. Are you experimenting here?

Nothing that complicated, Hutch. The art was originally intended to be a rough layout for the final, but I liked the look of it. So I copied it on newsprint and wrapped it around real newspaper pages, aged it in the sun for a few hours and placed it on my scanner. The background is a vintage lap-board (my Father-in Law's) from the '50s, placed on top of the art. And then I hit the scan button. The only digital element is the intro copy.
I will go digital if I ever use a 'front page" or "magazine article" motif again, mainly because it would make editing easier on headlines and body copy. I already see a few things I'd do differently; clumsy phrasing and poor spacing, etc...
